It is essential to our users that they understand how Levro can automatically check in users when they visit a location. Creating a seamless interaction where users don't have to interact with their mobile device to check-in automatically is one of the main benefits of Levro.

How do automatic check-ins work?

Levro uses a combination of Bluetooth beacons, GPS, WiFi, and geofencing that allows users to check in automatically when they enter a location. It is essential to know that the devices do not collect user data. Instead, the app collects data from the beacons. Imagine a Bluetooth beacon as a lighthouse whose signal can be seen by everyone in a certain radius, but the beacon can't see everyone. The beacons will send out a universally unique identifier (UUID) within a short proximity. If a user enters the proximity of the devices, the Levro app on the users' phone receives the message. From there, the app sends this information to the cloud and adds the business to the users' check-in page under their profile.

Example: Joe's Pizza has a Levro business account. The devices they've installed at their store sends the UUID out into the world for any devices close enough to pick up the message. Once a user enters the location, the Levro app will pick up the UUID. The app sees the message, sends that information to the cloud, and adds Joe's Pizza to your list of check-ins.
